Tom Vialle Makes Impactful Honda HRC MXGP Debut at Paris Supercross

Paris, France – Tom Vialle made a noteworthy debut with the Honda HRC MXGP program at the 42nd Paris Supercross, securing sixth overall after a mixed performance over the weekend. The two-time MX2 FIM Motocross World Champion and two-time 250SX Monster Energy AMA Supercross Champion accumulated 33 points with finishes of 11th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, 5th, 4th, and 5th across the two-day event.

Vialle’s weekend started with a challenging incident in the opening race, where he overjumped a rhythm section on lap one, colliding with fellow Honda rider Jett Lawrence. This resulted in Lawrence being pushed off the track, while Vialle endured a hard hit to the handlebars.

Post-race, Vialle reflected on the incident and his transition to the Honda 450, stating, “I felt pretty great all weekend. Kept on learning every moto.” He expressed satisfaction with the bike’s performance, highlighting its traction and handling: “The angle in the bumps is a lot better… I feel comfortable on the bike straight away.”

Despite a strong showing, Vialle noted fatigue impacted his performance in the final main event, admitting, “After the second main, my legs were really tired. I got really tired in the last main.”

Following the race, Vialle confirmed he communicated with Lawrence, indicating mutual understanding, and stated, “I said sorry and he was like, ‘All good.’”

With only a few weeks of practice on the Honda before the event, Vialle’s results reflect a promising potential for the upcoming season as he adjusts to the new machinery and competition.
