2025 Loretta Lynn’s Ranch Motocross Report: Day 1 Results

Lead: The opening day of the 2025 Loretta Lynn’s Ranch Motocross showcased thrilling performances across multiple classes, with standout rides from emerging talents and established competitors.

85cc (10-12) Class: Sawyer Geick (KTM) secured the first moto victory, demonstrating remarkable speed and control despite his rapid growth spurt.

125C Class: Hudson Short (Husqvarna) clinched the top position in the 125C moto. His father, Andrew Short, dominated the Senior (40+) first moto, marking a notable achievement as they became the third father-son duo to podium together at Loretta Lynn’s, joining the ranks of the Tomacs and Keefers, as noted by industry insider Kris Keefer on his Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Podcast.

65cc (7-9) Limited Class: Shannon Tarnow (Cobra) took the win in the first moto, followed closely by Yumena Berning (KTM) in second and Mickey Fluhart (Cobra) in third.

Girls (11-16) Class: A fierce battle unfolded between GasGas riders Mayla Herrick and Hannah Jamison. After a brief off-track incident, Jamison capitalized on a costly crash by Herrick to secure the lead, ultimately finishing first, followed by Herrick and Callie Sutton (KTM).

65cc (10-11) Limited Class: Levi Leddy (KTM) emerged victorious, while Raycin Kyler (Cobra) claimed fourth place after contending for the lead earlier in the race.

As the competition progresses at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, eyes will be on these riders to see if they can maintain their momentum and capitalize on the excitement from today’s racing.
