Lawrence Dominates at High Point; Deegan Sweeps 250 Class
High Point, PA – June 18, 2025 – The UFO Plast High Point National marked the conclusion of the first month of the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship. Under mostly overcast skies, Team Honda HRC Progressive’s Jett Lawrence emerged victorious in the 450 Class, securing his fourth consecutive win to start the season. In the 250 Class, Haiden Deegan of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing achieved his third 1-1 sweep of the season.
The opening moto of the 450 Class saw Jett Lawrence secure the Pro Motocross Holeshot, followed closely by Justin Cooper and Aaron Plessinger. Initially maintaining a slight lead, Lawrence faced a challenge when he stalled his bike, relegating him to third as Plessinger took the lead. However, Lawrence rebounded, reclaiming the lead with just under ten minutes remaining and ultimately crossing the finish line 1.8 seconds ahead of his brother, Hunter Lawrence, who finished second. Plessinger narrowly held off Cooper and Eli Tomac for third.
The final moto commenced amid heavy rainfall, impacting track conditions significantly. Hunter Lawrence again received the Holeshot but quickly lost the lead to Tomac. Jett Lawrence, starting deep in the top ten, advanced steadily. As challenges mounted due to worsening weather, the race was halted by a red flag due to lightning after 20 minutes of racing. Tomac was declared the winner, with Hunter Lawrence second and Jett Lawrence third, solidifying a strong day for the Lawrence brothers.
In the 250 Class, Haiden Deegan showcased his dominance once more, achieving a perfect 1-1 result across both motos. His performance re-establishes his lead in the championship standings as the series heads into its next round.
With the High Point National wrapped up, Jett Lawrence leads the 450 standings while Haiden Deegan solidifies his position atop the 250 class, setting the stage for an exciting continuation of the championship.
