Jalek Swoll to Miss Remainder of 2025 Season Following Injury
Triumph Factory Racing’s Jalek Swoll will withdraw from the remainder of the 2025 Pro Motocross season and the upcoming SMX Playoffs due to a torn calf muscle sustained during qualifying at the Ironman National. Fortunately, surgery is not required; however, the injury necessitates rest. Coupled with a previously incurred thumb ligament tear, both injuries led to the decision for Swoll to prioritize recovery ahead of the 2026 season.
Swoll made a noteworthy comeback from an Achilles injury, starting at round three where he secured a 10th place at High Point, followed by an 11th at Southwick. He further enhanced his reputation with a remarkable second overall finish at RedBud National and a ninth overall at Spring Creek. However, a crash while leading the first moto at Washougal and the recent calf injury significantly impacted his season’s trajectory. Despite a determined effort to finish 10th in race one at Ironman, a collision in the second moto ultimately ended his day.
The collaborative decision between Swoll and Triumph Factory Racing emphasizes the importance of complete rehabilitation to ensure optimal performance in 2026.
Jalek Swoll, Triumph Factory Racing:
“This isn’t the news that I wanted to be sharing, but at Ironman I tore my calf muscle without even crashing. I’ve also been riding injured since Southwick due to a torn ligament in my thumb. With this new injury, we decided it’s best for me to sit out the remainder of the season. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved this year despite my limited racing and I’m excited for the 2026 season.”
Jeremy Coker, General Manager, Triumph Racing America:
“Jalek has unfortunately sustained a calf muscle injury. Though it doesn’t require surgery, it is an injury that takes time to heal. Jalek has just begun to show his true potential, and I am absolutely gutted for him. I am confident he will come back stronger in 2026.”
The racing community will monitor Swoll’s recovery closely in hopes of a successful return next season.
