Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Faces Adversity at Budds Creek Finale
Budds Creek, MD – The concluding round of the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship brought significant challenges for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. Competing on a demanding track, both 250MX riders, Tom Vialle and Julien Beaumer, experienced setbacks that overshadowed their outdoor campaigns.
Vialle, a two-time MX2 World Champion and reigning 250SX East titleholder, qualified 13th aboard his KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION. After a strong start that secured him the holeshot in Moto 1, his race took a turn when a red flag prompted a restart. Despite a second successful holeshot, Vialle suffered a front-end washout, finishing 11th. Declining to participate in Moto 2, Vialle concluded the series in fifth overall with five podiums in 2025.
Beaumer showed promise by qualifying 4th but faced difficulties during the races. He finished 12th in Moto 1 and fell early in Moto 2, resulting in an early exit from the event. Despite these challenges, Beaumer achieved three top-five results throughout the season, ultimately placing 15th in the championship standings.
Ian Harrison, Team Manager for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, acknowledged the team’s mixed results. "It was nice to see Julien maintain the pace he had at Unadilla, while Tom seemed to find a groove early on. Unfortunately, both riders faced difficulties that impacted their performances today. I’m grateful that everyone is safe, despite the challenges," Harrison stated.
The Budds Creek event highlighted the resilience required in motocross, as both riders faced adversity yet demonstrated flashes of competitive potential during the season.
