Cole Davies Returns to Racing Following Injury; Caden Dudney Debuts
In a significant development for the Pro Motocross series, Cole Davies is set to make his professional outdoor debut this weekend after recovering from a severe arm injury and a broken nose sustained at the Monster Energy Supercross finale in Salt Lake City. Davies will compete in the final two rounds of the Pro Motocross series, marking a pivotal moment in his burgeoning career.
Davies, who previously participated in the Monster Energy Amateur National at Loretta Lynn’s and was expected to focus on the SMX Next series for 2025, captured the attention of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing during recent testing, leading to this accelerated entry into the pro ranks. "The move seemed to work out," remarked a team insider.
Joining Davies under the Yamaha tent is Caden Dudney, making his pro debut after a strong performance in the SMX Next Combine at Ironman, where he secured a moto win. While Dudney will race in the professional ranks this weekend, he is still slated to continue with SMX Next for the 2026 season.
In addition, Ty Masterpool will mark his return to the series following a broken hand sustained just before the RedBud event. The competition remains intense as these riders aim to make a mark in the final legs of the Pro Motocross season.
