23XI Racing Struggles in NASCAR Cup Series Round of 12
23XI Racing faces a challenging position in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs following a disappointing performance at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace both finished outside the top 20, with Reddick placing 21st and Wallace 26th.
Reddick, who entered the round three points below the cutline, now finds himself 23 points behind after a race marred by brake issues and a significant drop in performance. “I didn’t expect that, that’s for sure… The balance went away, and next thing I know, we were trying to battle for 20th. Just a terrible day,” Reddick stated. He started strong, qualifying fourth, but could only manage an average running position of 12th, ultimately earning just two stage points.
Wallace, meanwhile, started 14th but failed to secure any stage points with an average running position of 20.7. Reflecting on the race, he noted, “Just a miss all around… Our best run lasted for five laps… We kind of plateaued on lap five, and that was it.”
Both drivers, former winners at the upcoming Kansas Speedway, expressed caution regarding their prospects for the next race. Reddick commented on the need for an urgent turnaround: “There are just a lot of question marks, honestly… Yeah, we need something special to happen. I’m hoping we find the answer.” Wallace echoed the sentiment, stating, “Not to be pessimistic but realistic: my stats there the last couple of races haven’t done much. We gotta dig deep.”
With the playoffs intensifying, 23XI Racing will need to quickly address their performance issues to remain competitive in the second race of the round.
