NY Racing Team Taps Brennan Poole for Pocono Cup Race

This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series will see NY Racing Team field the No. 44 Chevrolet at Pocono Raceway, marking a significant entry for the team. After participating in six races this season, NY Racing, which also made an unsuccessful attempt to qualify for the Daytona 500, is hoping for a strong performance with a new driver.

Brennan Poole, a seasoned competitor with experience in the Xfinity Series, will take the wheel for NY Racing. This will be Poole’s first Cup Series start since October 2023 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and his 43rd career appearance at NASCAR’s top level. Previously, he raced with AlphaPrime Racing in the Xfinity Series, where he also drives the No. 44 Chevrolet.

Poole’s history at Pocono includes two starts in 2020, where he finished 29th and 27th. His best Cup finish came at Talladega in 2020, where he achieved ninth place with Rick Ware Racing.

With Members 1st Federal Credit Union serving as the primary sponsor for the Pocono race, Poole expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, "Super excited for this opportunity to race on Sunday again and I can’t wait to get behind the NY Racing Team Chevy!"

As the race approaches, all eyes will be on whether the team can leverage Poole’s experience to improve on its previous finishes this season.
