Briscoe Secures Pole Position for Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville

Chase Briscoe clinched his second consecutive NASCAR Cup Series pole at Nashville Superspeedway, clocking a record lap of 164.395 mph (29.125 seconds) with his No. 19 Toyota. This marks Briscoe’s third pole of the season following his strong qualifying performance at Charlotte Motor Speedway last week.

“It was a surprise,” Briscoe commented. “I felt it was a smooth, clean lap, and for sure a top-five lap, but didn’t expect it to be this fast. Starting on the pole is a huge advantage at this track.”

Briscoe surpassed the previous track record, enhancing his tactical advantage in a race known for its tight competition and track-position dependency.

Denny Hamlin qualified second with a speed of 164.119 mph, closely followed by William Byron (third, 163.374 mph), Tyler Reddick (fourth, 163.368 mph), and Ross Chastain (fifth, 163.357 mph). Chastain, the most recent winner in the series, will be looking to capitalize on his strong starting position.

Brad Keselowski and Christopher Bell rounded out the top seven, qualifying sixth and seventh respectively, while defending race winner Joey Logano secured ninth place.

Notable qualifying positions include Chase Elliott (11th), Bubba Wallace (12th), and Ryan Blaney (15th). Austin Cindric, Ryan Preece, and Josh Berry completed the top 20, with Shane van Gisbergen achieving a career-best 23rd starting position on a traditional oval.

The Cracker Barrel 400 is set to commence at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday.
