Nashville Qualifying Report: Briscoe Secures Pole Position

Nashville, TN — Chase Briscoe delivered a standout performance during qualifying at Nashville Superspeedway, clocking the fastest lap at 29.125 seconds, securing the pole position for tomorrow’s race. Briscoe’s exceptional lap edged out Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin by just 0.049 seconds, placing Hamlin alongside him on the front row.

“I ran a smooth lap. It’s been a good Saturday for our Bass Pro Shops Toyota,” Briscoe noted. “Track position is crucial here, and we need to maintain it throughout the race.”

This marks Briscoe’s third pole of the season, having previously achieved pole positions at both the Daytona 500 and Coca-Cola 600.

William Byron led the Chevrolet contingent in third place, followed closely by Tyler Reddick in fourth and the newly crowned Coca-Cola 600 champion, Ross Chastain, in fifth. Rounding out the top ten were Brad Keselowski, Christopher Bell, Michael McDowell, Joey Logano, and Chris Buescher.

A.J. Allmendinger qualified 17th after his No. 16 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet faced inspection issues, leading to unapproved adjustments flagged by NASCAR. In what is seen as a significant achievement, Shane van Gisbergen secured 23rd, marking his best qualifying position on an oval this year, aside from the All-Star Open where he started from pole.

Kyle Larson, seeking to rebound from a challenging Memorial Day weekend that saw him crash out of both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600, will start 28th—his lowest qualifying position of the 2025 season.

This qualifying session sets the stage for an intense battle on race day, emphasizing the significance of early track position in securing a favorable outcome at Nashville.
