Austin Cindric to Compete in Supercars Adelaide Grand Final with Tickford Racing
Austin Cindric is set to make his Supercars debut with Tickford Racing during the Adelaide Grand Final on November 28-30. This wild card entry is supported by Ford Performance, marking a significant collaboration in the motorsports arena.
Tickford Racing’s CEO, Simon Brookhouse, expressed enthusiasm for Cindric’s participation, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Austin into the Tickford Wildcard Car and provide him an opportunity to get a taste of Australian Motorsport.” Brookhouse emphasized the event’s potential to further engage the NASCAR audience and enhance the growth of Supercars.
This marks the first wild card entry for the Adelaide event, with additional details about Cindric’s participation to be announced later.
Cindric, the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year, is currently competing in the playoffs with Team Penske. He recently secured his third career win at Talladega Superspeedway this season. Commenting on his upcoming race, Cindric noted, “I’ve always rated the drivers and teams in the category highly. I can’t think of a better way to finish off a full year of racing than an adventure like this.”
