Suarez to Depart Trackhouse Racing Following 2025 Season
Daniel Suarez has confirmed his departure from Trackhouse Racing, set for the conclusion of the 2025 season. In a candid media session, he expressed relief at making the situation official, acknowledging that he had been aware of the impending change for several months.
“It was just time for a change,” Suarez stated. “There just wasn’t really love anymore. No hard feelings at all. I want to focus on the amazing years we had together early with Trackhouse.”
Despite his intention to continue racing in the Cup Series beyond 2025, Suarez has faced challenges in the current season. He currently sits 29th in the championship standings and remains winless. His frustrations stem from a lack of responsiveness to his feedback regarding team dynamics and performance.
“The last six to eight months have been very difficult,” he admitted. “I just haven’t felt the way I used to. Sometimes, when you don’t have that feel, there’s just no chemistry anymore. I’ve been vocal about changes needed, but I feel like my voice isn’t being heard.”
Despite sitting ahead of rookie teammate Shane van Gisbergen in points, Suarez has expressed concerns about the team’s direction, pointing out a stagnation in decision-making. “Everything happens so slowly,” he remarked. “I don’t think that’s the only reason, but lately I’ve felt less significant.”
As Trackhouse moves forward, the future remains uncertain for Suarez, who is committed to making a competitive return to the Cup Series landscape.
