Trackhouse Racing Announces Departure of Daniel Suarez for 2026 Season

Trackhouse Racing has confirmed that Daniel Suarez will not return as the driver of the No. 99 Chevrolet for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. The announcement was made on Tuesday, with Suarez emphasizing that this change marks a new chapter rather than a setback.

In an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Suarez stated, "This is not a sad moment. It’s just a change and it happens.” He clarified that he had been aware of this decision for some time, expressing relief at the news being public. "I’m excited for whatever comes next," he added.

Suarez reflected on his tenure with Trackhouse Racing, expressing gratitude and noting, “I love Trackhouse. I love everyone there.” This amicable departure suggests no ill will between the driver and the organization.

Suarez joined Trackhouse in 2021, significantly progressing his career by achieving his first Cup Series victory under their banner. Despite the highs, the relationship has faced challenges over the past five years. The team also has promising young talent in Connor Zilisch, who is expected to replace Suarez, although formal confirmation has yet to be announced.

As Trackhouse Racing evolves, the industry will be watching closely to see how both Suarez and the team navigate this transition.
