RAM Unveils Free Agent Program for Craftsman Truck Series

In a significant move, RAM has announced its Free Agent Program aimed at enhancing engagement in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Unveiled by Tim Kuniskis, CEO of RAM, the initiative will feature a rotating roster of drivers behind the wheel of the No. 25 entry, developed in partnership with Kaulig Racing.

“The challenge was to increase fan engagement in the Truck Series,” Kuniskis stated. “We need to create more synergies between the series since 50% of NASCAR fans drive trucks.” The decision to rotate drivers aims to attract diverse talent and broaden the fanbase.

Kaulig Racing will field three full-time entries with drivers Brenden Queen, Daniel Dye, and Justin Haley. Additionally, two more entries will feature the Free Agent Program truck and another yet to be announced. Kuniskis emphasized the potential of drawing in a wider array of talent, saying, “There are probably 400 drivers qualified to compete. Our goal is to have a different driver each week to expand engagement.”

The program will allow fans to connect with their favorite drivers, with announcements made the Monday before race weekend. Notably, the entry will not compete for points or a championship but will operate under its own point system based on individual track performance, with a season-end prize to be revealed before the 2026 season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Eligibility for the program extends beyond NASCAR veterans, broadening the talent pool. Kuniskis outlined the selection criteria: “If NASCAR and Kaulig Racing agree on driver safety and compatibility with our brand, they are eligible.”

The first race for the Craftsman Truck Series will commence on February 13, 2026, marking the start of a 25-race season.
