Tyler Reddick Sets the Pace in NASCAR Cup Series Practice at Nashville Superspeedway
Tyler Reddick topped the charts during NASCAR Cup Series practice at Nashville Superspeedway, clocking a lap at 161.337 mph (29.677 seconds). His fastest lap came on his fifth attempt, and he also recorded the best average over ten consecutive laps.
Co-owner of Reddick’s car, Denny Hamlin, secured the second-fastest time at 161.006 mph. Notable contenders followed, with Chase Elliott and William Byron finishing third and fourth, recording laps of 160.822 mph and 160.817 mph, respectively. Chase Briscoe, Brad Keselowski, and past Nashville winner Ross Chastain rounded out the top seven with lap times of 160.784 mph, 160.709 mph, and 160.450 mph.
Carson Hocevar placed eighth with a speed of 160.338 mph, while Bubba Wallace and Michael McDowell claimed ninth and tenth positions with times of 160.236 mph and 160.193 mph, respectively.
AJ Allmendinger, who faced an earlier pit road issue resulting in unapproved adjustments, managed to finish 11th. Corey Heim made his second start of the season with 23XI Racing, placing 27th in practice. Defending race winner Joey Logano struggled, finishing 32nd.
A total of 39 teams are entered for the upcoming Cracker Barrel 400, promising competitive action as the weekend unfolds.
