Chip Bowers Appointed President of RFK Racing
RFK Racing has officially announced Chip Bowers as its new president, effective September 23. Bowers, who brings a wealth of experience from roles in business operations, sales, and marketing within the NBA, WNBA, and MLB, succeeds Steve Newmark, who departed in August to join the University of North Carolina athletics.
Bowers expressed enthusiasm about his new role, stating, “I’m honored and thrilled to be joining one of NASCAR’s premier racing teams… I look forward to establishing our team as a true thought-leader and one of the preeminent brands within the industry.” He emphasized the importance of innovation, creativity, and enhancing the fan experience as key focuses during his tenure.
The organization intends for Bowers to amplify its growth strategies, strengthen corporate partnerships, and capitalize on the positive momentum established under the existing leadership. RFK utilized CAA Executive Search for this appointment.
RFK Racing co-owner Brad Keselowski commented, “Chip brings a fresh perspective… His extensive sales and marketing background will be a tremendous asset.” This leadership change marks a strategic move as the team seeks to solidify its position in competitive motorsport environments while enhancing fan engagement.
