NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series: Skip Barber Racing School Returns to Lime Rock Park with Will Lambros
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series heads to Lime Rock Park this weekend, featuring Will Lambros piloting the No. 02 Ford Performance F-150. Lambros, a prominent alumnus of the Skip Barber Racing School Driver Development Program, is set to make his mark on the track.
Lambros, who began his racing journey at 14 with Skip Barber, has diversified his experience through competitions in the Skip Barber Race Series, TC America powered by Skip Barber, and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. Additionally, he has competed in various Tour Modified series across the Northeast.
This event marks the debut of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Lime Rock Park — the original venue of the Skip Barber Racing School. The partnership with Reaume Brothers Racing allows Lambros to showcase the iconic Skip Barber colors in this historic setting.
Reflecting on his career, Lambros stated, “Skip Barber has been huge for my career. I’ve been working and coaching with them since high school. It’s like a second family. I’m excited to partner with Skip Barber and Reaume Brothers for my debut.”
Last year, Skip Barber supported the No. 22 Ford Performance F-150, with Director of Instructors Carter Fartuch behind the wheel, who notably gained nine positions during the race at Circuit of the Americas.
Joe Monitto, team manager for Skip Barber Racing, expressed enthusiasm for Lambros’s debut: “We’ve watched Will grow from a teenager into a talented racer across multiple disciplines. Seeing him in the No. 02 Skip Barber Ford Performance F-150 at his home track is an incredible opportunity.”
The LiUNA! 150 from Lime Rock Park is scheduled to air on FOX at 1 PM on Saturday, June 28.
