Jimmie Johnson Auction: VIP Experience at the Hydroplane Races
Proceeds from a unique auction featuring a VIP experience with seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson are now up for bid. This exclusive opportunity aims to benefit the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.
The winning bidder will enjoy a firsthand encounter at the 2025 Seattle Seafair Unlimited Hydroplane races, where Johnson will pilot the "Blue Blaster" hydroplane, previously owned by racing legend Bill Muncey. The package includes access to a private reception with Johnson and 11-time APBA Gold Cup champion Chip Hanauer. As of now, bidding is active on Bring a Trailer, with the current high bid at $10,000.
Johnson’s passion for Unlimited hydroplane racing stems from his childhood, with his interest piqued at the age of four during a celebratory outing with his father.
This year has marked significant milestones for Johnson, who recently reached 700 career NASCAR Cup Series starts at the Coca-Cola 600, making him the 21st driver in history to achieve this feat. "To reach my 700th start at the very race and track where my Cup career began makes this moment incredibly special," Johnson remarked.
Johnson also has taken a significant step in his career by becoming the majority owner of Legacy Motor Club. "I really have to thank Maury Gallagher for giving me the opportunity within the ownership space," he stated. Johnson expressed gratitude for Gallagher’s mentorship and foresight, highlighting the partnership with Knighthead as a transformative move for the team. "Their expertise will provide Legacy MC with the resources needed to pursue championships and solidify our place in NASCAR for years to come."
This auction represents both a personal and professional milestone for Johnson, encapsulating his enduring legacy in motorsports.
