2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup Calendar Announced
The 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup (MLMC) will feature a familiar lineup of six venues, marking a significant shift with a single three-hour race at Le Mans on June 12, a departure from the traditional two one-hour races. This change aims to enhance driving standards and better align with the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The MLMC season will kick off with a collective test on April 8, followed by the opening round at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on April 11. The series will return to France for Round 2 at Le Castellet on May 2, before the critical Road To Le Mans event during the iconic 24-hour weekend.
Post-summer, the championship resumes at Spa-Francorchamps in August, followed by a second visit to Silverstone on September 12. The season will conclude at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal on October 10, marking the tenth finale at this venue since 2017.
All races, except for the Road To Le Mans, will support the European Le Mans Series, reinforcing the series’ role as a vital step for teams progressing toward higher tiers in endurance racing.
Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, noted, “In a decade, the series has established itself as an essential stage in endurance racing, providing an outstanding competitive environment for teams and drivers.” He highlighted the three-hour race on the full Circuit des 24 heures as a key milestone in the journey toward excellence.
Frédéric Lequien, CEO of Le Mans Endurance Management, emphasized that the new format offers teams increased track time and strengthens the series’ connection to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. “We look forward to another exciting Michelin Le Mans Cup season,” he stated.
The 2026 calendar reflects both continuity and innovation, aiming to foster fan support and heighten the competitive experience in the endurance racing landscape.
