GT4 European Series Returns to Barcelona for Thrilling Finale

The GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club returns to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this weekend, poised for an electrifying conclusion as title battles intensify among 44 competitors.

Silver Class: Title Secure, But the Battle Continues

Robert Consani and Benjamin Lariche of Team Speedcar secured the Silver title at the Nürburgring, marking a pivotal moment in their season. However, the competition for secondary positions remains fierce. Berkay Besler and Gabriele Piana of Borusan Otomotiv are hot on their heels, having podiumed in the last three events and won at Spa. They sit second in the points standings, merely five points clear of Hadrien David and Jan Duran of Matmut Évolution, who claimed their first victory in Germany.

Key competitors include Marco Signoretti and Erik Evans of Academy Motorsport, as well as Alex Papadopulos and Lluc Ibañez of NM Racing Team, both tied for fourth. Notable race winners McKenzie Cresswell and Josh Rattican in their McLaren also aim to capitalize on the heightened stakes.

Pro-Am Class: New Leaders Emerge

A shifting dynamic in the Pro-Am class sees Mirage Racing’s Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandr Vaintrub take the lead, following their fourth consecutive win. This consistency has propelled them eight points ahead of the #32 W&S Motorsport Porsche crew, long-time leaders now facing pressure.

Joakim Walde and Victor Bouveng, currently third, remain in contention for a breakthrough win. Meanwhile, race winners Viny Beltramelli/Nicco Ferrarin and Alberto Naska/Stefano D’Aste could play crucial roles in the final results.

Am Class: Two-Horse Race Intensifies

The Am class is a showdown between W&S Motorsport’s Max Kronberg and Daniel Blickle, and Chazel Technologie Course’s Jean-Mathieu Leandri and Antoni de Barn. Each team has recorded flawless performances, with Kronberg and Blickle holding a narrow ten-point advantage.

The Brunnhagen father-son duo from Toyota Gazoo Racing is in a heated battle for third, alongside the likes of Igor Sorokin and Keith Gatehouse from NM Racing.

Event Schedule

Testing will commence on Thursday, October 9, leading into Free Practice and Pre-Qualifying on Friday. Saturday features qualifying and Race 1, culminating in the final race on Sunday, promising an exhilarating wrap-up to the season.
