Silverstone Adjusts ELMS Start Time for Optimal Conditions
Silverstone, UK – In response to weather forecasts predicting heavy rain during the afternoon, organizers of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) have announced a change to the schedule for the upcoming Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone. The race will now commence at 11:00 AM, one hour earlier than originally planned.
This adjustment aims to enhance the spectator experience by maximizing the chance of dry conditions during the majority of the race. The Met Office projects a 90-95 percent likelihood of heavy rain starting around 2:00 PM. By advancing the start time, officials anticipate that the early stages of the event will be less impacted by adverse weather.
This marks the first ELMS race at Silverstone since 2019, and a strong turnout is expected. The organizers are keen to provide the best possible conditions for fans and competitors alike.
