Provisional Entry List Released for 28th Annual Motul Petit Le Mans
Road Atlanta, GA — IMSA has unveiled the provisional entry list for the 28th annual Motul Petit Le Mans, scheduled for October 11 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, featuring a robust lineup of 53 cars across four classes.
The ten-hour season finale will showcase all 12 GTP vehicles, with expanded driver line-ups. Notably, Championship leaders Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell will welcome Julien Andlauer as a new co-driver in the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963. Laurens Vanthoor returns to team with Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy in the #7 entry.
In a key driver move, Kevin Magnussen and Robin Frijns will conclude their stint with BMW M Team RLL, with Magnussen partnering Philipp Eng and Dries Vanthoor in the #24 BMW M Hybrid V8, while Frijns joins Marco Wittmann and Sheldon van der Linde in the #25.
Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing has confirmed Will Stevens for the #10 V-Series.R, accompanied by Norman Nato in the #40 Cadillac. Frederik Vesti will continue in the #31 Cadillac Whelen entry, bolstered by a recent Indianapolis win.
Acura Meyer Shank Racing has enlisted Scott Dixon for the #60 ARX-06 and Tristan Vautier in the #93. The #85 JDC-Miller MotorSports Porsche will see Neel Jani and Max Esterson join Tijmen van der Helm, with JDC-Miller being the only private entry for the Porsche 963 this year, as the #5 Proton Competition entry remains sidelined for repairs.
The race will also mark the final IMSA appearance for the #63 Lamborghini Squadra Corse SC63 before a year-long hiatus beginning in 2026, with drivers Romain Grosjean, Edoardo Mortara, and Daniil Kvyat eager to secure a strong finish.
In LMP2, Alex Quinn replaces Malthe Jakobsen in the #04 Crowdstrike by APR ORECA 07-Gibson, while Jakobsen will remain with the team in a support role. The GTD PRO field returns to ten cars, including familiar teams such as Corvette Racing and Ford Multimatic Motorsports, along with notable driver additions across the board.
GTD has expanded to 19 cars, welcoming back Magnus Racing’s #44 entry and announcing new partnerships for several teams, including Conquest Racing, which has signed Mike Skeen.
As the race approaches, teams are finalizing their preparations for a challenging finale to the IMSA season at Road Atlanta, promising an exciting showdown.
