2026 Le Mans 24 Hours: Provisional Entry List Announced
The Automobile Club de l’Ouest has released the first provisional entry list for the 2026 Le Mans 24 Hours, confirming a full grid of 62 cars across three classes: Hypercar, LMP2, and LMGT3.
Class Breakdown
-
Hypercars: The top-tier class features 18 entries, including one new addition from the IMSA GTP series: Wayne Taylor Racing’s third Cadillac V-Series.R. This decision follows prior discussions with Cadillac regarding supplementary entries, particularly after WTR’s successful participation in France last year. Speculation around Alpine’s potential third entry remains unsubstantiated, as no additional A424 is listed.
-
LMP2: Of the 19 entries, 10 will contest for Pro/Am honors. Notable teams such as United Autosports, Inter Europol, Proton Competition, and Algarve Pro Racing will field two cars each. Additional single-car entries come from various teams, including DKR Engineering and TDS Racing. AO Racing’s PJ Hyett opted not to enter a second car despite opportunities from previous successes.
-
LMGT3: The class comprises 25 entries, with seven joining from the FIA WEC. TF Sport will debut a third car, courtesy of their ELMS LMGT3 title, while Kessel Racing enters two Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evos based on prior championships. Notably, the already competitive field leaves limited spots for outside entrants, with only three additional cars securing grid space.
Reserve List and Notable Absences
Nine cars are currently on the reserve list, including notable entries such as GR Racing and Cetilar Racing. A significant development for this year’s race is the absence of Porsche 963s, due to the factory team’s withdrawal and Proton Competition’s inability to enter privately.
The Iron Dames initiative has seen a reduction in female participation, with only two drivers currently listed: Doriane Pin in LMP2 and Lilou Wadoux in LMGT3. However, there are opportunities for additional female competitors, with 28 seats available across the classes.
Key Dates
The 94th edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours will take place on June 13-14, 2026.
