Acura Meyer Shank Racing Announces Endurance Driver Line-Up for IMSA Season

Acura Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) has finalized its endurance driver roster for the upcoming IMSA season. Highlighting the team’s announcement is the return of AJ Allmendinger, who will pilot the #60 Acura ARX-06 at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, marking his 16th appearance in the prestigious race.

Allmendinger, a previous overall winner in 2006, will co-drive with full-time drivers Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun, along with six-time IndyCar champion Scott Dixon—who will join for the endurance events at Daytona, Sebring, and Petit Le Mans. Allmendinger expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’ve missed driving for Mike Shank at the Rolex 24… I feel so fortunate to get another opportunity.”

Mike Shank, co-owner of Acura MSR, emphasized Allmendinger’s significance to the team: “He is the definition of a professional race car driver… to have his energy back is really exciting.” Dixon heads into his 23rd consecutive Rolex 24 appearance, having secured victories in 2006, 2015, and 2020, and he was crucial to Acura MSR’s runner-up finish in 2025.

In the sister #93 Acura, four-time IndyCar champion Álex Palou will return, joining full-time drivers Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly. Palou, the 2023 Indianapolis 500 winner, finished second at last year’s Twelve Hours of Sebring but missed Petit Le Mans due to ongoing legal matters.

Additionally, Honda factory driver Kakunoshin Ohta will participate in select endurance races for the #93 Acura, following three starts with the team last year. Ohta is currently competing in the Japanese Super Formula Championship.

Shank concluded, “They’re all mega pros… This will go a long way in delivering Acura big results.”

As the team prepares for the upcoming season, the mix of experienced drivers and fresh talent positions Acura MSR as a formidable contender in endurance racing.
