Cadillac Drivers to Test with Hertz Team JOTA at FIA WEC Rookie Test

Bahrain, November 9, 2025 — Jack Aitken and Ricky Taylor will represent Hertz Team JOTA in the FIA WEC Rookie Test this weekend, stepping in as part of Cadillac Racing’s “One Cadillac” initiative. This follows Connor Zilisch’s absence from the test.

Aitken has been integral to Action Express Racing’s efforts with the Cadillac V-Series.R over the past three seasons, shifting from an endurance-only role to a full-time driver ahead of the upcoming season. He concluded the 2025 IMSA Sportscar Championship with two race victories alongside co-drivers Earl Bamber and Frederik Vesti.

Taylor, now back with Cadillac through Wayne Taylor Racing, achieved three podiums in 2025 and made his top-class debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Both drivers are confirmed to continue with their full-season GTP commitments in 2026, reinforcing the cohesion among Cadillac’s teams.

Taylor expressed enthusiasm about the test: “My focus is to learn from the team and from GM about the Cadillac that races in WEC with JOTA and how they do things differently to us in the States.”

Aitken commented on the “cross-pollination” of knowledge across the teams, noting, “It will be good to firsthand try their car and see how things are done in the WEC as well.”

Full-time Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA drivers Bamber and Alex Lynn will also participate in the test, though each will be limited to five laps.

The FIA WEC Rookie Test will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit on November 9, the day after the series’ season finale.
