Dillmann Dominates Free Practice 2 Ahead of Abu Dhabi 4-Hour Race

Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi – Tom Dillmann of Algarve Pro Racing topped the Free Practice 2 session at the Yas Marina Circuit, clocking a best time of 1:41.290 in the #25 ORECA 07 – Gibson. The session, conducted entirely under the circuit’s floodlights, featured competitive lap times, with Dillmann narrowly edging Tristan Vautier by just 0.045 seconds in the #30 RD Limited ORECA.

Charles Milesi placed third in the #47 ORECA of Cetilar Racing, followed closely by Louis Delétraz in the #4 CrowdStrike Racing by APR entry, and FP1 leader Nolan Siegel in the #43 Inter Europol Competition ORECA.

In the LMP3 category, Matteo Quintarelli set an early pace with a 1:50.886 in the #23 Ligier JS P325 – Toyota, followed by Callum Voisin in the #94 High Class Racing Ligier, just 0.278 seconds adrift. Matus Ryba secured third in another 23Events Racing Ligier.

Steve Jans claimed the fastest GT time in the #9 GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, posting a 1:53.470. Aleksei Nesov in the #59 United Autosports McLaren GT3 Evo was a close second, while Lucas Auer rounded out the top three in the #37 GetSpeed AMG.

The session proceeded without interruption until the final moments when debris from an incident at Turn 14 brought out the Red Flag. This incident involved LMP2 entries from United Autosports, Algarve Pro Racing, and ARC Bratislava and is under investigation.

Qualifying for the Abu Dhabi 4-Hour race begins tomorrow at 10:10 GST (6:10 UTC), followed by Race 1 at 15:00 GST. Fans can stream the events live on the Asian Le Mans Series YouTube channel.
