Mobil 1 Sponsors Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing for 24 Hours of Le Mans
Mobil 1 has confirmed its role as the primary sponsor for Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing (WTR) in the upcoming 93rd annual 24 Hours of Le Mans. The #101 Cadillac WTR V-Series.R will debut a striking blue livery, adorned with white accents and the Mobil 1 logo, reminiscent of the #10 WTR Cadillac used in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
The vehicle, designated chassis #023, was subjected to a successful shakedown at Putnam Park Road Course in Indiana last week. This marks the chassis’s first competitive outing at Le Mans. Ricky Taylor, Jordan Taylor, and Filipe Albuquerque will pilot the #101 entry, representing Cadillac’s inaugural participation in this prestigious endurance race.
“Le Mans is the ultimate proving ground in motorsport, and we’re proud to support Cadillac’s ambitions through our continued technical partnership,” stated Tony Esposito, Strategic Global Alliance Manager at ExxonMobil. “This new livery reflects what our work with Cadillac is all about—performance, passion, and pushing boundaries. We’re thrilled to see it come to life on track at Le Mans, where our legacy in motorsport continues.”
Mobil 1 has been a longstanding associate sponsor for Cadillac’s top-tier prototype teams, including Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA in the FIA World Endurance Championship and Cadillac Whelen (Action Express Racing) in IMSA, which featured a special Mobil 1 livery during the Twelve Hours of Sebring earlier this season.
As the countdown to Le Mans continues, all eyes will undoubtedly be on Cadillac WTR and its new V-Series.R.
