Paul-Loup Chatin to Depart Alpine Endurance Team at the End of 2025

Alpine Endurance Team has confirmed that driver Paul-Loup Chatin will leave the organization at the conclusion of the 2025 season. Chatin, a significant figure in the team’s history, first joined Alpine as a Reserve Driver in 2013 and made his race debut in 2014, swiftly achieving victory in the European Le Mans LMP2 championship alongside teammates Nelson Panciatici and Oliver Webb. The trio also secured a podium finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, earning Chatin the Prix Jean Rondeau, awarded to the top young French driver.

Following his debut, Chatin remained with the team through its transition to the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), capturing Alpine’s inaugural championship victory at the 6 Hours of Shanghai in 2015. After a brief hiatus from the team in 2016, he returned in 2022, entering the LMP2 line-up after Sébastien Ogier’s withdrawal from the Richard Mille-backed #1 entry.

In 2024, Chatin achieved a fourth-place finish at the 8 Hours of Bahrain, but it was the 6 Hours of Fuji in September 2025 that marked his career pinnacle, as he, Ferdinand Habsburg, and Charles Milesi celebrated the A424 program’s first victory.

Reflecting on his tenure, Chatin stated, “After an incredible few years with the Alpine Endurance Team, it’s time for me to turn the page… Representing such an iconic brand has been a true honor.”

As Alpine navigates an evolving driver lineup ahead of the 2026 season, Chatin’s departure adds to the team’s roster changes, including the recent signing of António Félix Da Costa, while the status of Mick Schumacher remains uncertain.
