IMSA Updates: Conquest Racing and Triarsi Competizione Confirm Driver Line-ups for 2026

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Conquest Racing and Triarsi Competizione have unveiled their driver line-ups for the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, emphasizing their competitive aspirations for the season.

Conquest Racing will feature a strong team in the GTD class, led by returning driver Albert Costa, who finished second in the 2025 GTD PRO Championship. Costa reunites with Manny Franco as they aim to build on their fourth-place overall finish in 2024, highlighted by a victory at the Motul Petit Le Mans. “I’m very happy to be joining Conquest Racing again. Our first season together was strong… now it’s time to finish the job,” Costa stated, underscoring his commitment to the championship.

Franco, entering his third season with the team, echoed Costa’s sentiments, reinforcing the synergy they developed previously. “Having Albert back is great for everyone… this next year feels like the moment where everything comes together,” he noted.

Joining them will be Lorenzo Patrese, competing in the Michelin Endurance Cup after a successful stint at AF Corse. He will be complemented by Dutch driver Thierry Vermeulen, who arrives after a commendable season in the DTM series.

Conquest Racing team owner Eric Bachelart expressed confidence in the assembled line-up and the enhanced engineering team, aiming for a championship-caliber program in 2026.

In parallel, Triarsi Competizione is gearing up for its own challenges, announcing its driver team for the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Onofrio Triarsi Jnr and Kenton Koch will again pilot the #023 Ferrari, pursuing further success after Koch contributed to the team’s historic victory at Road America last season. New recruit Robert Megennis and 24 Hours of Le Mans champion Ye Yifei will join them in what promises to be a competitive outing.

Triarsi Competizione also confirmed a new entry in the GTD PRO class, featuring prominent drivers including James Calado and Miguel Molina, reflecting the team’s ambition to excel across both GT classes.

As the season approaches, both teams are set to leverage their experienced drivers and technical expertise to confront the challenges ahead at Daytona and beyond.
