Asian Le Mans Series: Kurtz, Jakobsen, and Deletraz Power to Third Consecutive Victory
ABU DHABI, Oct. 14, 2026 – The CrowdStrike by APR #4 ORECA, driven by George Kurtz, Malthe Jakobsen, and Louis Deletraz, secured a third consecutive victory in the Asian Le Mans Series at Yas Marina Circuit. The team executed a flawless race strategy, avoiding major incidents to take the win by a margin of two seconds over the Algarve Pro Racing #20.
Throughout the race, the #4 crew demonstrated effective fuel management, moving ahead in the final stint as competitors encountered issues. Jakobsen reflected on their performance: “We are very happy now with a third win in a row, putting us in a strong position for the last race. We need to keep our heads calm and make sure we finish the race tomorrow.”
Completing the podium was the #30 RD Limited ORECA, which overcame a 10-second penalty for an earlier collision to secure third place.
In significant developments affecting the championship standings, the Cetilar Racing ORECA finished 12th, placing them 25 points behind the leaders after a challenging day marked by early red flags and off-track incidents.
The #5 ORECA from United Autosports, which started from pole, faced mechanical issues leading to its retirement, while Inter Europol Competition’s #13 Ligier initially appeared to win in LMP3 but is likely to receive a post-race penalty.
In GT racing, Team WRT achieved a 1-2 finish with their BMW M4 GT3s, with the #69 car securing victory after sustaining a strong lead in the third hour. The #74 Kessel Racing Ferrari rounded out the top three, maintaining competitiveness in the standings.
