Lotus Secures Victory in Greater Bay GT4 Race at Macau
On a sunny Sunday morning in Macau, the Greater Bay Area GT Cup concluded with a dramatic race featuring fierce competition among GT4 contenders. The Craft Bamboo-entered Mercedes AMG GT4, driven by veteran Darryl O’Young, started from second on the grid for what would be his final race.
At the outset, pole sitter Han Lichao made contact with O’Young at Mandarin Bend, allowing Wenlong (Daniel) Lu to capitalize and take the lead. After a mid-race restart, O’Young collided, resulting in his exit from the race. This left the #20 Lotus Emira GT4 of Lu to secure victory, marking Lotus’s second win at this event.
Lichao finished second in his #33 Toyota Supra GT4 Evo, while Kai-Shun Liu completed the podium, ensuring a Team Pegasus Racing 1-3 with his Lotus.
