Ford Multimatic Motorsports Announces GTD PRO Driver Lineup for 2026

Ford Multimatic Motorsports has officially realigned its two-car GTD PRO effort for the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, introducing Dennis Olsen and Ben Barker as full-time drivers for the #64 Ford Mustang GT3.

Olsen, fresh from a Rolex 24 At Daytona victory, previously drove as a Michelin Endurance Cup specialist and will transition to a complete season in 2026 alongside Barker, who also participated as an Endurance Cup driver last year. The pair aim to maximize their performance in the ten-round GTD PRO series.

Meanwhile, Christopher Mies and Frédéric Vervisch will maintain their roles in the #65 Mustang GT3 after a strong eighth-place finish in the 2025 season standings. Notably, Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx will join as the new Endurance Cup drivers, with Rockenfeller teaming with Olsen and Barker in the #64, while Priaulx will partner with Mies and Vervisch in the #65.

For the upcoming season, Ford plans to debut an Evo version of the Mustang GT3 during the Rolex 24, featuring significant updates to both bodywork and platform. This evolution coincides with the 125th anniversary of Ford Racing, as indicated in Olsen’s recent open letter detailing his excitement and commitment.

Olsen expressed, “Driving under the Daytona Beach welcome sign brought back so many emotions. Our first target is to leave Daytona with another Rolex watch!” He highlighted the importance of their new lineup, stating, “We have a true championship-contending roster united in maximizing the Mustang GT3.”

Olsen concluded, “Confidence is high as we enter January’s Rolex 24—our focus remains on winning the championship.”

This strategic realignment positions Ford Multimatic Motorsports to enhance its competitive edge in the 2026 season, aiming for a stronger showing in the prestigious IMSA series.
