GBR Stratton Motorsport Announces Aston Martin GT4 Campaign for 2026 British GT
Graham Brunton Racing (GBR) and Stratton Motorsport have officially confirmed a partnership to field a two-car Aston Martin GT4 entry for the upcoming 2026 British GT Championship season. Racing under the GBR Stratton Motorsport banner, this marks the first official entry for the 34th season of the series.
The initiative comes after a limited presence in the GT4 category in 2025, where Aston Martin participated in only select races through MKH Racing. The new team will compete with Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 Evo models.
Stratton Motorsport, having previously competed full-time in the British GT with Aston Martin and Lotus Evora GT4 cars from 2016, along with GBR’s recent involvement in the GB4 single-seater championship, brings a wealth of competitive experience to the collaboration.
Aston Martin last secured the GT4 Teams’ Championship in 2024 with Forsetti Motorsport. Team principal Roger Bennington emphasized the significance of this partnership: “Combining our strengths under the GBR Stratton Motorsport identity—as an official Aston Martin Racing partner—positions us for an exciting chapter in our history.”
Craig Brunton, team manager, expressed enthusiasm about transitioning from single-seater to GT4 racing: “It’s a dream come true to compete with a prestigious and high-performance brand in AMR. We cannot wait to get started.”
The team is set to announce its driver line-up in due course. The 2026 British GT season kicks off with a media day test at Silverstone on March 31, followed by the Silverstone 500 race on April 25-26. The two cars will feature distinctive red and yellow detailing throughout the season.
