Ginetta Junior Scholarship Qualifying Days Set for October
Blyton Park, UK – Ginetta Motorsport has confirmed that the qualifying sessions for the 2026 Ginetta Junior Scholarship will occur on October 17 and 18 at Blyton Park. This initiative aims to discover and cultivate emerging driving talent by assessing candidates’ driving proficiency, fitness and resilience, and media skills.
Eligibility is straightforward: entrants must be aged between 11 and 13 years, specifically born from January 1, 2010, to March 15, 2012, and should not have participated in any prior regulated car motorsport events. No race license, vehicle, or racing gear is necessary, broadening access to a diverse group of young drivers.
The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive prize package valued at over £100,000, which includes full entry into the 2026 Ginetta Junior Championship, access to a Ginetta Junior car for the season, professional team support during races, a supply of tires and fuel, and a Ginetta-branded race suit.
Noteworthy past recipients of the scholarship include prominent drivers like three-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick and British GT champions Adam Smalley, Dan Harper, and Sennan Fielding. The most recent winner, Fred Green, has already achieved a Ginetta Junior race victory and secured the Kartmasters GP Championship, attributing his rapid progress in racing to the scholarship.
Mike Simpson, Chief Executive of Ginetta Motorsport, emphasized the importance of early foundational skills in karting, stating, “Ginetta provides that ideal next step for talented racers to continue their development in the safest, most successful and most rewarding series possible.”
Entries for the scholarship are now open via the Ginetta website.
