2025 Spa 24 Hours Prologue: Day 2 Recap

Morning Session Highlights
Parker Thompson emerged as the fastest driver in the Morning Session of the second day of the Spa 24 Hours Prologue, clocking a lap time of 2:16.350 in the Bronze Cup #222 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. This time, set during the final hour after a Red Flag, places Thompson ahead of the field, despite not being part of the race’s driver lineup for 2 Seas.

Following Thompson, the Day 1 pace setter, Saintéloc Racing, secured second and third positions with Ivan Klymenko and Gilles Magnus driving their #26 and #25 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II entries, finishing just 0.095 and 0.182 seconds behind respectively. Harry King completed the top four in the 2 Seas Motorsport-supported Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo, leading the Gold Cup category.

Notable performances included George Kurtz, fifth overall in the #4 CrowdStrike by SPS AMG GT3 Evo, and Marvin Kirchhöfer, sixth in the #59 Garage 59 McLaren GT3 Evo, marking the fastest Pro entry.

The #76 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini notably completed the most laps of the session (53), while track incidents caused two Red Flags, one due to an accident involving Andrey Mukovoz in the #66 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi.

Afternoon Session Insights
Steven Palette clocked the fastest time in the Afternoon Session, setting a 2:16.291 in the Pro-Am Cup #28 Haas RT Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. This time was competitive but still 0.068 seconds shy of Gilles Magnus’ Day 1 benchmark. Mercedes-AMG vehicles dominated the top placements, with Fabian Schiller and Edoardo Liberati following Palette in second and third respectively.

Elliott Skeer in the #120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3.R secured fifth place, while the session had significant stoppages, including a Red Flag caused by a vehicle breakdown.

Despite several teams opting out of track time, including AF Corse with their Ferrari 296 GT3s, the #21 Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin Vantage logged the most laps of the day at 79.
