Laurin Heinrich Expands IMSA Commitment with JDC-Miller MotorSports

Porsche works driver Laurin Heinrich has officially joined JDC-Miller MotorSports for the remaining sprint races of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2026. Heinrich will share driving duties in the #5 Mustang Sampling-sponsored Porsche 963 with regular co-driver Tijmen van der Helm, starting with the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 17-18.

The young driver—who recently secured victories at the Rolex 24 At Daytona and the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring with Porsche Penske Motorsport—will also compete in the GTP sprint races at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, and the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Notably, Heinrich will fulfill his third race of the Michelin Endurance Cup for Porsche Penske Motorsport but will sit out the races at Watkins Glen and Road America. JDC-Miller confirmed that Nico Pino and Kaylen Frederick are set to continue for the remaining three Endurance Cup events, with Pino transitioning to an endurance-only role.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Heinrich stated, “I’m incredibly thankful… collecting more valuable experience in the 963 and also joining a renowned team such as JDC-Miller Motorsports.”

In addition to his IMSA commitments, the 24-year-old will expand his schedule with multiple GT3 appearances, competing in the European Le Mans Series’ LMGT3 class with High Class Racing, the Nürburgring 24 Hours for Lionspeed GP, and select GT World Challenge Asia events for Origine Motorsport.
