HOFOR Racing Triumphs in Michelin 24H Barcelona
In a remarkable upset, HOFOR Racing claimed victory at the 2025 Michelin 24H SERIES European Series, securing first place overall at the Michelin 24H Barcelona with their Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO in the GT3-AM category. This win denotes a significant achievement for the Swiss team, marking the first overall GT3 victory at Barcelona in their history.
The team consisted of husband and wife duo Alexander and Chantal Prinz, alongside team members Michael Kroll, Maximilian Partl, and Torsten Kratz. The victory also represented a personal milestone for Chantal Prinz, celebrating her 50th race in the Creventic series, and a decade since the team’s last overall triumph.
“We’ve made history! It’s perfect to win overall here,” Kroll remarked post-race. “This team is family; with the right drivers, anything can happen.” Kratz echoed the sentiment, expressing surprise at their unexpected win and praising the team’s setup throughout the week.
Audi’s HAAS RT, driven by Matisse Lismont, Ramez Azzam, and the Guelinckx family, finished second overall and took the PRO win. Juta Racing secured third place and the GT3-AM podium spot with drivers Nicola Michelon, Lars Viljoen, Arunas Geciauskas, Zhang Yaqi, and Gavin Pickering.
Proton Huber Competition’s consistent performance was enough to clinch the overall Michelin 24H SERIES European Series championship title with their fourth-place finish in the Porsche 911 GT3 R. Jorg Dreisow, emotional post-race, expressed gratitude for the team’s hard work throughout the season.
In the Audi R8 domain, Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport narrowly captured the GT3-AM title over Juta Racing, finishing just two points ahead.
The 992 class saw Muhlner Motorsport dominate, with drivers Valters Zviedris, Julian Hanses, Martin Rump, and Paul Meijer winning by a margin of five laps. HRT Performance secured the 992-AM class victory.
In GTX, the No. 701 Vortex under the control of Lionel Amrouche and co-drivers seized victory, while in GT4, Venture’s crew clinched the title with their Mercedes-AMG GT4.
The “Spirit of the Race” award went to THRW Racing, recognized for their relentless efforts following challenges with their Honda Civic Type R (FL5) arriving from the USA.
The next event in the Michelin 24H Series is the Michelin 12H Malaysia at Sepang International Circuit on December 5-6, followed by rounds in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in January.
