Ford Performance Unveils Guest Drivers for Mustang Challenge at Le Mans
Ford Performance has announced that Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy and former Top Gear presenter Chris Harris will make guest appearances at the upcoming Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational. Both drivers will compete in the #77 Mustang Dark Horse R, participating once each in the Dark Horse Stars class during the double-header support race at the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours.
Sir Chris Hoy, currently facing stage four prostate cancer, previously raced at Le Mans in 2016, finishing 17th overall and 12th in class with Algarve Pro Racing in the Ligier JS P2. His extensive experience in endurance racing adds a significant element of competition to the event.
Chris Harris, although a prominent figure in motorsports journalism, will be making his debut at the Circuit de La Sarthe. His racing credentials include participation in 24-hour races at notable venues such as Spa, the Nürburgring, and Silverstone.
Ford Performance aims to field over 35 cars for the European debut of the Mustang Dark Horse R, enhancing the event’s competitive landscape as it prepares for the spectacle of the Le Mans 24 Hours.
