Haupt Racing Team Partners with Bundeswehr Ahead of ADAC 24H Nürburgring

Haupt Racing Team (HRT) has announced a strategic partnership with the Bundeswehr, Germany’s armed forces, showcasing one of its Ford Mustang GT3 Evos in a unique camouflage livery for the upcoming ADAC 24H Nürburgring. This initiative emphasizes a shared commitment to technology and teamwork in both motorsport and military fields.

The #63 Mustang GT3 Evo will participate in not only the Nürburgring 24-hour race from May 14-17, 2026, but also in preparatory rounds of the Nürburgring-Langstrecken Serie. HRT’s lineup will also include the Yokohama-backed #65 Ford. Driver details remain forthcoming.

Ulrich Fritz, CEO of Haupt Racing Team, commented on the partnership: “The collaboration with the Bundeswehr is a great honour for HRT. Motorsport and the military have a lot in common. Both fields depend on commitment, team spirit, and technology.”

In addition to the partnership, Niklas Kalus will rejoin HRT’s ADAC GT Masters program in the upcoming season. The 20-year-old driver, who made a strong impression last year with multiple podiums and a pole position at the Lausitzring, will also compete in selected events of the Nürburgring-Langstrecken Serie in the latter half of the season.

Kalus expressed his enthusiasm for returning: “The trust placed in me for another year means a lot to me and gives me extra motivation. I am highly motivated to continue developing and am looking forward to an exciting, instructive, and hopefully successful racing year.”

HRT’s ADAC GT Masters roster also includes Kiana Blum, Max Cuccarese, Emil Gjerdrum, and Alain Valente. The sixth driver and team combinations will be announced in due course.

This partnership marks a significant development for both HRT and the Bundeswehr, enhancing the profile of motorsport while promoting the armed forces’ modern image.
