Wright Motorsports Unveils 2026 Driver Line-up for IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship
Wright Motorsports has confirmed its driver roster for the upcoming 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, with FIA World Endurance Championship winner and IndyCar driver Callum Ilott set to compete full-time alongside owner/driver Adam Adelson.
Ilott, who previously raced for PREMA Racing in IndyCar, will share the #120 Porsche 911 GT3 R with Adelson, marking Ilott’s return to sports car racing full-time following his triumph at the 2024 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The British driver first joined Wright Motorsports during the 2023 Indianapolis 8 Hour and expressed enthusiasm for the new season, stating, “I’m thrilled to be joining Wright Motorsports for the full season in GTD alongside my IndyCar season… it’s shaping up to be a great season ahead.”
Adelson, who acquired the team from founder John Wright in April and captured the inaugural GTDX title last season, emphasized the team’s preparations for the new 911 GT3 R Evo, stating, “We’ve been working hard in the off-season to extract the most of it as soon as we hit the track.”
Rounding out the team’s lineup for the Michelin Endurance Cup are 2025 Porsche Motorsport North America Selected Driver Tom Sargent and Adelson’s longtime co-driver Elliott Skeer, who will compete in the Rolex 24 At Daytona in January.
Wright Motorsports aims to build on its success following its 2022 GTD class victory at the Rolex 24. The team will face competition from at least five others enter the new 992.2-generation Porsche 911 GT3 R at Daytona, including notable entrants like Manthey’s two-car program and AO Racing.
As the 2026 season approaches, Wright Motorsports is poised for a competitive campaign, combining solid driver talent with cutting-edge machinery.
