Koch Joins Triarsi Competizione for Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

Kenton Koch has stepped in as a last-minute driver for the #021 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 for this weekend’s Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. This comes after Korthoff Competition Motors confirmed it would not participate in the event, sidelining Koch from racing.

Koch will team up with Onofrio Triarsi Jnr, who shifts from the #023 Ferrari, which primarily competed in the Michelin Endurance Cup. This move marks the third driver lineup change for the #021 car this season, previously piloted by Sheena Monk and Stevan McAleer, with the latter duo recently replaced by AJ Muss, Alessandro Balzan, and Jason Hart.

Despite the upheaval within Korthoff Competition, Koch and his teammates achieved notable success at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen, securing the #32 Korthoff Mercedes-AMG GT3’s first podium of the year. This resulted in Koch climbing to sixth in the GTD Drivers’ standings, now trailing Winward Racing’s Russell Ward and Philip Ellis by 192 points.

Koch expressed frustration regarding the uncertainty surrounding Korthoff’s decision to withdraw, stating on social media, "It’s not for a lack of results and good times. This group that’s been put together has been incredible to work with, and I am proud of what we have accomplished… I don’t have too much clarity on the situation."

The absence of Korthoff Competition Motors has raised eyebrows, especially following a social media purge of their 2025 season content, adding to the ambiguity of their future.

The Chevrolet Grand Prix will test not only the resilience of Koch and Triarsi’s latest collaboration but also set the stage for further developments within the competitive landscape of the GTD class.
