Team KRC Set for Bathurst 12 Hour Debut with BMW M4 GT3

Team KRC will make history at the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour by entering the first privateer BMW M4 GT3, competing in the Bronze class. The #89 M4 GT3 Evo will feature a distinctive Australia-themed livery, though the complete driver line-up has yet to be announced.

In preparation for this milestone, Team KRC has demonstrated solid performance in the GT World Challenge Asia, where drivers Maxime Oosten and Ruan Cun Fan secured the Silver-Am drivers’ championship and finished fifth overall. The duo, alongside Neil Verhagen, achieved a commendable second-place finish in the Bronze class at the recent Suzuka 1000KM. Additionally, the team previously showcased their capabilities with Augusto Farfus, who finished second overall at the FIA GT World Cup in Macau.

Since its debut at the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2023, the BMW M4 GT3 has been fielded exclusively by the factory-supported Team WRT, which secured a 1-2 finish in this year’s event. The upcoming 2026 race will mark the inaugural appearance of a privateer M4 GT3 and the debut of the Evo-spec version, following the competitive conclusion of the first-generation model in 2025.

The 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour, the opening round of the 2026 Intercontinental GT Challenge, is scheduled for February 13-15, 2026.
