Lamborghini Unveils New Temerario GT3 Ahead of 2026 Debut
Lamborghini has officially introduced the Temerario GT3, its latest customer racing vehicle set to debut in competition at the Sebring 12 Hours in March 2026. This new model marks a significant milestone as it is the first competition car developed entirely within Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata Bolognese facility.
The Temerario GT3 is designed to succeed the highly successful Huracán GT3, which has secured 96 titles globally over the past decade, including victories at iconic events such as the Daytona 24 Hours and Sebring 12 Hours. Lamborghini Chairman and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, emphasized the brand’s commitment to excellence, stating, “The Temerario GT3 will set a benchmark for its competitors, just as the road-going Temerario has.”
Technical Specifications and Improvements
The new GT3 features an aluminum spaceframe and a four-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine similar to its road counterpart, excluding the hybrid element. Key enhancements include:
- A simplified spaceframe for quicker maintenance and repair.
- Newly developed turbocharger and compressor assemblies, a revised airbox, and an optimized exhaust system.
- Lightweight carbon composite bodywork, designed for improved cooling and rapid disassembly.
- A longer wheelbase and wider track for enhanced cornering stability, complemented by KW six-way dampers.
Engineers designed the interior with input from Lamborghini Squadra Corse drivers Andrea Caldarelli and Marco Mapelli, improving electronics, software integration, and driver comfort. Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer, highlighted the vehicle’s versatility, noting, “The car operates in a slightly different area of the performance windows compared to its predecessor. We are confident it will be competitive across various conditions.”

Following its anticipated launch, the Temerario GT3 will compete in select events, with Lamborghini Squadra Corse offering continued support to customer teams still racing the current Huracán GT3 EVO2.
