GT4 European Series Report: Misano Race Weekend Overview

Race 1: Saturday

In a commanding performance, Benjamin Lariche and Robert Consani clinched their third victory of the season in the GT4 European Series at Misano, extending their championship lead. Starting from third on the grid in the #3 Team Speedcar Audi, Lariche maintained pace with the leaders, Josh Rattican and Lluc Ibañez, before handing over to Consani during the pit stops.

Consani’s superior tyre management allowed him to reclaim the lead, overtaking Rattican’s McLaren and Ibañez’s Mercedes-AMG in a thrilling multi-corner battle. The duo’s win showcased strategic prowess and timely execution throughout the race.

Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandr Vaintrub took their first Pro-Am victory of the season, capitalizing on competitors’ misfortunes in the #7 Mirage Racing Aston Martin, while Jean-Mathieu Leandri and Antoni de Barn secured the Am class win, reinforcing their championship lead.

Race 2: Sunday

Starting from pole, Consani established an early lead, fending off close competitors, including Pedro Ebrahim and Yagiz Gedik, who finished second despite a late puncture afflicting Gabriele Piana and Berkay Besler’s BMW.

In Pro-Am, Vaintrub and Safronov claimed their second consecutive win, further closing the points gap in the standings. The Am class saw another triumph for Leandri and De Barn, solidifying their position atop the championship leaderboard.
