Liam Talbot Hosts Trackside Experience and Donates $500,000 to Children’s Hospital Foundation
Two-time Australian GT Champion Liam Talbot made headlines today at Champions Way, Willowbank, by hosting a trackside event for families from Queensland Children’s Hospital. This initiative, in collaboration with Shannons Insurance, included an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, practice laps in Talbot’s Aston Martin, and a personal meet and greet.
In a significant gesture, Talbot announced a monumental donation of $500,000 to the Children’s Hospital Foundation, made in memory of his late father, Ken Talbot. This contribution aims to support vital programs, including bedside play, music therapy, brain tumor research, and emergency care kits for critically ill children across Queensland.
“This additional donation comes from my family’s heart,” Talbot stated. “I’m honored to be part of the Foundation’s mission because no child should face their healthcare journey alone."
The Aston Martin driven by Talbot prominently displays the Foundation’s logo and includes a QR code for year-round donations, with Talbot pledging to match every contribution dollar for dollar.
Children’s Hospital Foundation CEO Lyndsey Rice praised Talbot’s commitment, noting, “The joy he’s brought through this specially hosted Trackside Experience is unforgettable.” She emphasized the ongoing need for support, highlighting that over 371,000 children accessed care in 2024.
