Mustang Challenge Returns to COTA

The Mustang Challenge series is poised for a competitive penultimate round with a 16-car entry list. Paley Motorsport bolsters the grid with two additional cars, featuring Ford Racing Junior Team’s Sam Paley alongside Will Lucas, who returns for the first time since the Le Mans Invitational. Lucas currently leads the USAC-sanctioned Mustang Cup series, which serves as a precursor to the Mustang Challenge.

Robert Noaker is on track to secure his second Dark Horse (DH) class title, having maintained an unbeaten record in points-paying races this season. The Dark Horse Legends (DHL) class remains highly contested; with Alex Bachoura’s lead reduced to 150 points following the Virginia International Raceway event. Zachry Lee and Alfonso Diaz are within striking distance, highlighting an exciting close to the season with four races remaining.

WEC Team Updates

Shea Adam joins the WEC TV team as a substitute pit reporter, stepping in for Bruce Jouanny. She brings valuable industry experience, complementing the regular commentary team of Martin Haven, Anthony Davidson, and Graham Goodwin.

JOTA Karting Challenge

This weekend, Hertz hosts a three-hour endurance karting event at COTA’s Speed City, featuring teams led by notable figures including Jenson Button and Tom Brady. The winning team will earn a trophy and a VIP tour of the JOTA pit lane.

FIA Noise Reduction Strategy

In response to ongoing discussions, the FIA released a new “Explainer” video addressing its strategy for noise reduction in racing, aiming to balance competition with environmental considerations.
