Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA Announces Driver Change Ahead of 2026 FIA WEC Season Opener

Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA has confirmed that Alex Lynn will miss the opening rounds of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season, scheduled at Imola and Spa. Lynn is undergoing a planned procedure for a chronic neck issue, which he has managed since late 2024 without affecting his performance.

The team stated, “The decision has now been taken to address the issue ahead of the start of the season with a minor procedure to ensure that he is in the best possible shape for the rest of the year.”

In his absence, the #12 V-Series.R will be piloted by Will Stevens and Norman Nato. The sister #38 car will be driven by Sébastien Bourdais and Earl Bamber.

Additionally, Jack Aitken will join the team at Spa, filling in due to a scheduling conflict with the IMSA event at Long Beach. If Lynn’s recovery proceeds without complications, he is expected to return for the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours in June.
