Maserati Corse Unveils Endurance Pack for GT2 Model
Maserati Corse has significantly broadened the competitive landscape for its GT2 model by launching an Endurance Pack, enhancing its suitability for various endurance and sprint racing series. This strategic move follows the successful completion of official tests for the ACI Sport Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship at Misano on March 31 and April 1, allowing the GT2 to participate in the Championship’s GT Cup Class.
The GT2 has already made a mark in the European Ultimate Cup Series, recording two victories and additional podium finishes during its debut weekend at Le Castellet from March 28 to 30.
Maria Conti, head of Maserati Corse, emphasized the importance of this expansion. “We’re very proud to provide our teams and gentleman drivers with a car that can stand out, offering cutting-edge technologies and significant performance,” she stated. “This new Endurance Pack not only accommodates our customers’ desires but also positions Maserati for the world’s most renowned endurance races.”
The Endurance Pack features critical enhancements, including endurance lighting kits, electroluminescent number panels, additional sensors, a brake bell system, and a cabin UV light kit. These components ensure improved visibility during night races and enhanced efficiency during pit stops, all while maintaining reliability.
Available as a purchase option or as an adaptation kit for existing Maserati GT2 vehicles, these enhancements mark a pivotal step in Maserati’s return to competitive racing with an expanded presence in the European GT2 Series by Pirelli.
