2025 British GT Championship: Pre-Qualifying Results from Brands Hatch

Brands Hatch, UK – In a tightly contested pre-qualifying session for the 2025 British GT Championship at Brands Hatch, Martin Plowman emerged as the front-runner, setting a matched lap time of 1:23.599 with McLaren factory driver Marvin Kirchhöfer. Plowman’s effort in Paddock Motorsport’s #9 McLaren positioned him ahead toward the end of the session, narrowly beating Kirchhöfer’s performance in the #77 Optimum McLaren.

Marcus Clutton, who previously had the fastest time in free practice, finished the session in third place with a lap of 1:23.686 in the #67 Orange Racing by JMH McLaren. Porsche factory driver Sven Müller took fourth in the #66 Team Parker Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R with a time of 1:23.787, while Maximilian Götz rounded out the top five in the #18 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO with a lap of 1:23.986.

Hugo Cook led Barwell Motorsport’s Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 with a sixth-place finish at 1:24.060, followed closely by Callum Macleod in Optimum’s #3 McLaren, recording a time of 1:24.119. Tom Wood’s #97 Beechdean Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo finished eighth with a lap of 1:24.130, while quad-champion Jonny Adam secured ninth position at 1:24.149. Rounding out the top ten was Patrick Kujala in Barwell’s #78 Lamborghini, clocking in at 1:24.208.

In the GT4 category, Mahiki Racing demonstrated dominance with a 1-2 finish. Jack Mitchell led the field in the #84 Ginetta G56 GT4 Evo with a competitive time of 1:30.533. Team newcomer Luke Garlick placed second with a lap of 1:31.358 in the #69 Ginetta. Reigning champion Jack Brown completed the top three in the #90 Optimum McLaren Artura GT4 with a time of 1:31.874.

Qualifying for the main race is scheduled to begin today at 15:55 local time.
