ORECA Unveils New Technocenter, Enhancing Production and Customer Programs

Paul Ricard, France – Following the ELMS race, ORECA has inaugurated its new 8,000 m² Technocenter at the Signes Technoparc. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to optimize production efficiency and expand customer program opportunities for the established French motorsports company.

The Technocenter, completed after two years of construction, integrates advanced engineering processes, centralized parts storage, and a comprehensive R&D department. Notably, it houses design teams for customer Hypercar and GTP projects, including partnerships with Alpine, Acura, and Genesis.

Hugues de Chaunac, ORECA’s founder, expressed satisfaction with the facility’s capabilities: "We aim to showcase our engineering prowess and support a diverse international clientele across various racing categories."

Visually striking, the Technocenter features a well-lit showroom displaying a rich history of ORECA’s motorsport legacy, including the iconic Oreca 07 and various previous models like the Acura ARX05 and Toyota TS030. A dedicated wall pays homage to the many prominent figures who have collaborated with ORECA, emphasizing the company’s longstanding credibility in motorsports.

Technical capabilities have significantly improved, with new CNC machining rooms, an autoclave, and dedicated testing facilities, including a “Torture room” designed for extreme structural tests. Assembly areas focus on high-profile projects such as the Ferrari 296 GT3, with ORECA committing to producing six cars a month under a five-year contract. Each car assembly involves a meticulous process of disassembling power units to ensure specifications are strictly followed.

Future prospects remain positive, with ORECA preparing to introduce the Genesis Magma Racing GMR001 for testing soon and ongoing demand for the ORECA 07 LMP2 chassis. De Chaunac confirmed plans to bid for the next LMP2 chassis contract, reinforcing ORECA’s position as a key player in the sport.

With a fully stocked parts storage and an efficient logistics system, ORECA is poised for continued success in motorsports, demonstrating a robust commitment to excellence and innovation.
